The new greenhouse is 28' X 28' so hopefully that helps with the Northern Minnesota weather.

1969 Haist X 2185 Brandt. It's trying to ramp up the weight gains, but we've had 20+ inches in the last 2 months here! We don't need rain the rest of the year, but I guess we live in a Tropical Rain Forest haha!

2109 Zywiec plant, this plants went through a lot and just keeps on wanting to grow! It was in 8 inches of water for 4 days earlier. So sun and dry weather would help.

Finally had to water in the greenhouse after 3 weeks, you know you live in a tropical rainforest when you don't have to even water inside. This is the 1969 Haist

The new patch for next spring is starting to take shape, it's on higher ground so water won't be an issue.

It's day 65 for the 1969. It's starting to look pretty mean and sounds like a rock when you hit it. I'll apply the third application of Big Stem in a few days. Hopefully can get another 30 days of growing out of it!

The pumpkin developed a pinhole on a dill ring. Estimated weight was 1154 and actual weight was 1195. I'm pretty sure the dill ring came about from when we had so much rain. Cross is 1969 Haist X 2185 Brandt.

This is what the pumpkin looks like after we dropped if from a crane 80 feet up onto a Ford Escort! The car didn't fare to well! We raised $475 for the local Literacy Council which buys books for kids each month. It was a dollar per ticket for a chance to pull the rope to release to pumpkin.

The new greenhouse is just about ready for next year, just have to lay the drain tile in the trenches. The greenhouse is 30' x 60' for two plants and one will be grown outside. The drain tile will help with drainage and for getting oxygen in the soil. I also plan to pump water and fertilizer back into the drain tile.
