For folks that attended Green Bay there is a bit of confusion about my observation(s) of late dap fruit giving back pounds. Somehow this was mistaken for simple transpiration loss. I truly wish it was that simple. Rest assured I tested obvious modalities for weigh preservation including a complete vapor lock on the 2144.5 for 48hrs while still on vine. Even though this test essentially shut down all fruit transpiration it was a futile attempt to prevent or even slow the witnessed give back. This is how I confirmed my suspicions that transpiration was indeed NOT the chief pound thief; It was phloem. I apologize for not making this clearer with greater in depth discussion and photos.

I tried out the new Jay Yohe pumpkin tape on this Dap-60 1592 Cindy fruit. The material feels and looks like reinforced vinyl and should be quite durable. I was worried that I wouldn't like the larger width but I found it easier to use as it grabs hold of the fruit better. The extra width also provides more surface for masking tape to hold it snugly in place. Nice tape Jay.
