I been seeing lots of squirrels and just couple rabbits out. Thinking squirrels are doing it.   Tuesday, June 23 View Page Not sure what is worst, squirrels or rabbits, both seen both eating my main and secondary vines. Now only have one secondary and rest are shoots off the secondary vines. Not expecting a large one this year. This is the first year I had problems with those animals. Guess the coyotes kept them at bay and haven't seen any this year. I had a ground hog put a six in hole in a 300 lb plus pumpkin five years back getting some water out in middle of summer, but had got rid of him after I seen him do it.   Monday, July 27 View Page Least on the board now with one est. 109 lbs and the other at 1318 lbs. They are slow moving only at 6 lbs a day last week. Thinking was the heat. Since cooled down they still only putting about the same. Trying now spraying leaves with seaweed kelp and gave them a good dose of plant food. Will see if that will jump start them again   Tuesday, August 18 View Page Finally taped at 300 lbs but notice a 1/8 circle soft and brown. Not good but cross fingers and put mixture of capstan and sulfur on it. I did losr my best one yesterday, split open on the side, guess was just a little too much water Was watering it a lot. Only got one that has a perfect round shape put hasn't put a lb on for last week and it is only 285 lbs. Starting to work on a new one but it is a little late.
