277 and 227.5 weighed at Robert's family farms saturday. Lost stump on 277 at day 40 so had to limp along to day 100. Which was a challenge in this wet weather. Could have been a good one considering it was over 200 pounds on day 40 when stump blew. Long 60 days after that. The 227.5 was exb and was an experiment in a hot house. Temps averaged well above good watermelon growing temps in there. So pretty satisfied to get to 227.5. Learned a lot for growing in my new high tunnel for next year. Tip of the day: never put all of your eggs in the same basket and dont beat a dead horse. Try new things and experiment.

Chilly nights in ky for last week or two. Not ideal for melons, but this close to the end and considering the stump being limped along for 60+days its not doing bad. Ready to get the patch cleaned up
