Little field pumpkin. Was about 7 - 8 ft. out and down a side vine about 3 - 4 ft. Most of plant was after pumpkin and vines on that side were about 7 Ft. Only pollinated this one so I would have something growing. Slow to start and after a couple of weeks I was going to give up and pull plant but it started growing. First two true leaves were destroyed by cucumber beetles and when it recovered from that there was a near frost night on about the 6th of July. Then a very dry spell which caused the leaves on the maple trees to turn brown. Then around mid September 3 nights in a row of frost which the plant survived but started pumpkin ripening. In spite of my best effort this thing just wanted to grow. Pollinated about Aug. 10, did not keep exact date because was not intending to keep it.
