We've had some rainy weather in the last 24 hours. It started with 7/8" in 35 minutes. Then a few hours later another 3/4" fell. And, the gauge accumulated another 3/8" overnight. With the leaves saturated, then the wind picked up and it caused some stress damage to about 6 of the largest leaves. It could have been worse. The moisture has caused about 10 female blooms to appear overnight.
I will not need to water for at least 2 days (maybe 3). But on the positive side...the bedding is filled with red wigglers.
By this time next week, I think the 150sf bed will be full of plant and hopefully we get a viable pumpkin fruit shortly after.
