Aphids have set in hot and heavy like usual now. I don't use any non organic pesticides which makes combating aphids super difficult (impossible might be a better way to put it). Last year my primary spray was a mix of sulfur and Pyganic. I felt like this caused excessive leaf burn and my plants were basically dead from aphids by early September. This year I've switched to blasting the leaves with the jet setting on a hose every few days and spraying high volumes of horticultural oil every few days. I still have tons of aphids but it seems better than last year. This takes a ton of time and effort so the Dawson plant is the only one getting this at this point. I picked up this old school atomizer flogger thing this year that works great for this.
