Just a heads up - I recommend throwing them in the trash.

0/3 locally, they were dud plants.

Thanks for the heads up, Andy. How'd they fail? Sterile? Split?

That looked like a great cross on paper.

They quit growing at 50-150 pounds or so. I don't believe it was a sterility issue, as the males had pollen. However, we didn't happen to test it out with any pollinations, either.

Were they shaped normal. I had a plant do that this year. everything got to propane tank size before they stopped. They were all normal shaped and they all acted the same.Similar genetics. Plenty of of pollen with the males

Unrelated to this particular seed, but every so often is there a cross that just ends up bad? First year I ever grew I ran a 1078 Larsen. Could not get it to set a fruit to save my life. I overwintered it and same thing the next season. Even the seeds from my 438 (1886 Larsen x 1078 Larsen) had the same problem the next year. A shame though, because the vines grew like tree trunks.
