Hello everyone, going to try my hand at a giant cabbage this year when should I start my seeds? I live in maryland. I want to start my seeds indoors then transplant.

Start seeds early. If your seeds are started the fall or winter before it will allow you to grow longer, because they need a long season to grow to optimum size. If I were you, i would read a book on growing giant vegetables, there is one by Bernard Lavery, that has a section on giant cabbages. The is also one online.

To get the online book, you go to GiantPumpkins.com and there is a place to click that says "free giant vegattable book". If you click on it, there is a huge book that has sections on all giant things.

I'm harvesting giant cabbage now and I'm not even trying. There must be something I'm doing right. I will see about getting some proper seeds... who knows what will happen? If someone could point me in the direction of seeds please :)
