When saving seeds for next year, is it better to rinse with warm or cold water before setting to dry ? Thanks

Doesn’t matter...wash them well... keep away from critters... the thin film will pull away after they are dry. How many are climbing inside their pumpkins?

I used warm or hot water on tomato seeds and I think it triggered them to sprout. I dont wash pumpkin seeds because the fleshy bits dry quickly and fall off and the seed is basically clean after that.
