How long does it take to start getting flowers after my plant starts vining? I figure I still have about 6 to 7 weeks left this year before my first frost. I am hoping to get a 50lb or better fruit this year after having to start over.

Doc.......your AG's wont cross with your field pumpkins, unless your growing another variety of C maxima.

Hey Scott, Why won't they cross? I take it you are refering to the fact that an AG will not pollinate regular pumpkins or vice versa? I thought I had seen where somone here had pollinated a little Lumina (white) pumpkin with AG and the thing went huge.

Most field pumpkins are Pepo and will not cross with A.G.'S
However Casper, Lumina and Snowball are all listed as Maxima ans will cross!!
