I have had my share of aborts this year as i am sure some others have.My question is - is there a period of time after pollination that you can stop worrying about aborts and start worrying about something else like stem splits and the such.I have got two on that seem to want to go but i have had my hopes up too many times allready and been shot down.I'm tired of aborts i want something else to worry about.Growem big!

From what I've read most say that at basketball size spontaneous aborts are pretty much done. Not all the way but pretty much...From there you can worry about sun baking, rot, borers, viruses, fungi, the neighbors kids, your kids, the dogs, woodchucks...etc..There is a great sport for neurotics!!! Grow em big! Chuck

Yeah, didn't someone mention bears? Then there are all those guys named Peter, looking for pumpkins big enough to store their wives in.
