What is the best way to harvest and save the seeds of your big pumpkins?

hello farmer braun,i dry my seed many ways,i put them on a cookie sheet, put them on the dash of my 65 pick-up for about 6 hours, then i bring them in and let them stay in front of the fan for about 3 days, then i put them up high on top of the cabinet for a few more days then i put them in containers and stick in the fridge,i always have so many seeds to dry every year,i put them in a pillow case, and stick them in the dryer,i check them alot, i shake the pillow case i can usually tell if there dry.

I wash them in a cool, very dilute bleach soln. Then I put them in a cool dry place, usually the garage and and let them dry for a few weeks. It's not as fast as heavy hitter, but it works.
