killer rose...you take a pumpkin seed and lightly scuff the rounded end and sides with a nail file. Do not file the pointy end where the sprout comes out. After filing, I soak for a couple of hours and then place them between two layers of warm wet paper towels placed on a saucer. I then shove everything into a plastic bag, lightly close and set in a warm place. I use the top of our Tim Horton coffee maker as it comes on periodically to keep the water in it hot. Within two or three days I have sprouted pumpkin seeds that are ready for starter pots. Make sure that the paper towel stays slightly wet bit not so the seeds are laying in water. And remember...just "lightly" scuff them
