how much room do these little pumpkins need? would it be possible to grow them in a 5 gallon bucket? (hold-up before you start laughing). i had a neighbor once that grew cucumbers in 5 gallon buckets, and even though they were growing in the bucket, they produce over 10 pounds of cucumbers. well if you have any input about it, let me know. thanks

i grew jack be littles this year and just let them grow up my fence, it worked out pretty good. i would imagine that if you put the bucket near a trellace, or a fence you could do it

I cant see why you couldn't grow the jack-be-littles in a 5 gallon bucket. I grew a big max type pumpkin in a 3 gallon pot this year which produce several 15 to 25 pound pumpkins.

I had to fix a constant drip feed system to water the plant though. It's hard to believe how much water a vine can soak up out of a small container.

They are like pkns Chuck. You can cut open the tops, hollow out the seeds, stuff the shell with meat, onions etc...and bake...makes a nice serving dish and flesh is squash.......G

Chuck, down to just a wakeup now! and you're right, it does go fast!!.......i've harvested seed from them before, but its just as easy to buy a pack of 'em. either way, when you plant 'em you'll get a whole bunch!
