Most people would tell you it's not big enough for 1!!! You could try growing a single plant, but no more. These things take up a tonne of space.

I have about 300 square feet and I try to squeeze 2 plants in there. I could very easily go with just one.

I would not do less than 500 sq feet for 1 plant.

what if all you had was 150 sq ft, would you not grow AG's? i doubt it, tell killer rose what the best is he can do with the space he has..i am not a expert, but i know that he could grow a big pumpkin, not in your world, remember, 100-200 ppounds is big to 99% of the population....

German pumpkin 150sq feet is plenty of room to grow a pumpkin over 500lbs Bret hester grew a 500 pluss pounder last year on a plant with 96 leaves. What I have found the smaller the plant the more likely that the pumpkin will split. killer rose if you have room make your patch bigger if not be ready to prun alot and you may have to set more than 2 fruits the energy has to go some where. And other than you spring prep or depending on your soil condition you may not need to fertilize the hole season. best of luck mark[ only one plant rose killer]

I still have to measure my main patch..but.....I have one place that is 4 feet in diameter....that is to say the ground tilled up is that size. That "patch" was a designated clothesline pole hole that was not deep enough (2-3 feet) to hold the pole so hubby filled it in with horse manure and it grew a 140 pound pumpkin! Mind you, it had lots of room to run wild over the grass...which it did! I knew nothing of pruning...still don't...but help is coming. I have the world class pumpkin book ll ordered and it is in the postoffice as I write.
