I am growing casper pumpkins. I have 8 plants but i know I won't use all of them. I have a small yard. What should i do? Someone suggested that I could have them grow up some sort of fence. Any ideas?

Using a trellis(fence) has both advantages and disadvantages.
Advanteges include: 1) Saves space (growing up verses out) 2) Cleaner pumpkins 3) Less diseased
Disadvantages include: 1) Only promotes main root and maybe a few close by 2) Quantity of pumpkins not as high 3) Weight of pumpkin may pull vines and cause splitting
I'm sure there are other adv/dis but these may help decide.
I am planning on using some sort of trellis with a small section of my jack be littles with drip tape to actually get a camparision this year.

When you grow this type of pumpkins on trellis or a fence use old panty hose to hold them up. As the fruit grows take a old panty hose slip it over the pumpkin or even melons as they grow the panty hose expands. You can tie the panty hose to the trellis or fence. A teacher at the school i work at had a pumpkin growing on the fence i sliped part of the panty hose over it, tied it to the fence , the pumpkin weigh about 40lbs when it was finished growing. It held up real good. You can do thid with melons of all types. Greg
