WE planted two pumpkin plants, the leaf of one is growing 2" a week while the other is just growing 3/4 in the same.Should we put most of our attention on the big leafed plant or does the leaf size have any thing to do with the size of pumpkin the plant will produce? They're planted about 45' apart and are getting the same care(so far!) Dottie

Dot,
Leaf size really doesn't have much to do with pumpkin size. If you prune and bury your vines as you tend to your plant, you will see the remaining leaves get much larger.

Well, that was certainly rude and crude. Dottie's a grandmother.

They seem to be far enough apart I would baby them equally and see what happens. I have had small leafed plants grow big pumpkins, and large leafed plants grow puny pumpkins and visaversa... Good luck
