My very best plant(maybe 8-10 big leaves) came to earth today to start vining. Probably a two foot fall. I came home from work to find it looking as close to death as it could look. Saw no breaks on the vine. Leaves are completed wilted. We have had gobs and gobs of rain here in KC.

Maybe the stem broke off just under the soil's surface?

Too much water can stress plants just like not having enough water, they will wilt. I think that is probably your problem if you say you've had tons of rain.

Let me say as well that I am no expert either. But I do know that too much nitrogen can make leaves dark green and droopy. Have you been fertilizing a lot? There's also a fungus or bacteria that basically kills plants overnight, it's a long name and starts with P. It's in one of Don Langevin's books.

I think the word Brigitte is looking for is phytophthora! I think the plant may have been stressed/damaged by the 2 foot fall. When the vines start sticking up in the air, support them with a couple sticks made into an "X". Move them when necessary, but the vine will eventually gently come to ground.
