I have a small greenhouse. I used an electic heater in it. It has been costly! If I were to change over to "N" gas, would this work out if it's unvented? I was told it was clean burning. When I vent it, I loose all my heat. Would it work if I put in a small fan bringing in fresh air?

These are professional greenhouse heating questions. Get into the catalogs and talk to the heating equipment sales and manufacturing people. Anything unvented sounds wrong to me. Greenhouses are figured for 100% heat loss no matter how they may be made or of what material. Yes they are expensive little suckers!

Down near the bottom of their home page is the link to heating & ventilating.

I've never purchased from these folks. Most of what they have I can grab at Graingers for a little less due to our corporate discount. But the heat calculator is very cool. I used a double layer of 6 mil plastic which greatly reduces the btu's needed to heat. You need a small Dayton blower to keep the two layers of plastic inflated. But this air layer is where the insulation comes from. Without it, losses are incredible.

I have seen small fans that force warm air near the top of the greehouse back down to the plants. If it's not too far from the home, and you have hot water heat, you may want to circulate a little through the greenhouse.
