We (I am not alone) want the long gourd results of the Annapolis Valley Giant Vegetable Growers to be reviewed. We (I am not alone) want a open decision from the GPC to be published for all to see. The basis of our protest is:

Germany

Article II Fruits and Growers
1) The entry must be exhibited by the grower or team. In the case of an emergency where the grower or team cannot be present to exhibit the entry,

the site coordinator, club/grower representative, and site representative will make a determination regarding the validity of a grower or team’s absence.
A) “Grower” is defined as a person who has grown and cared for the entry from planting to harvest.
B) “Team” is two growers contributing equally to the care of a fruit/vegetable grown at the same address and exhibited together.

Make your complaints to your European GPC reps Owen. We will take it from there.

Thanks

No. We are protesting a North American long gourd result, not a European result.

And as far as our first protest that has nothing to do with country, it has everything to do with how the GPC judges sites paying growers under the table to come to tneir weigh offs.

Does the European GPC reps not read this site?

Add the Schweizer Meisterschaft im Kurbiswagen to the Long Gourd Results being protested. It's like a disease.

Owen, I'm not sure what is wrong with the Annapolis Valley Giant Vegetable Growers long gourd results. I assume you assume there is only one Ansems who is weighing in under different names, but it is, to my knowledge, the largest family of competitive growers we have.
Gerard Ansems was born in The Netherlands and immigrated with his parents and ten siblings to Canada. He sadly passed away this past May. One of his brothers competes as does Gerard's wife as does one of his sons as do several of their wives and perhaps a few others. They all happen to live in the same area which is why you would assume they were one household. In total there are/were eight Ansems growing giant veg.
Hope this helps.

Dutch,

Thank You, you are correct, I understand they each have their own separate trellis's and land. They have been competing this way for years.

The GPC website has a Contact US email link. This goes to everyone on the GPC Committee, and is working great. This is how, if you have a concern, you can contact the GPC, all members at the same time. We do not regularly monitor all pages of BP nor is BP the best way to communicate with the GPC.
