Most maters in my mater patch are sorta poorly this year...except for the Roma's which are outstanding. I have heard several times that Roma's are the best mater for making tomato sauce!!! I need a short & precise tutorial for making tomato sauce!!! I do lots of juice & stewed maters every year, but have never made & canned tomato sauce!!! Would love to try it!!! Peace, Wayne

wayne: dont know if you want tomato sauce or spaghetti sauce but heres a couple ideas, tomato saucesauce,18 tomatoes,2green peppers,2mediumn onions,3tbl spoons sugar,2teaspoons of salt,1 teaspoon ground cinnamon,1/2teaspoon ground cloves,1 teaspoon allspice,2 cups vinegar, peal core chopp maters,chopp peppers and onions fine,combine all ingredients boil slowly for four hours till thick, fill jars with boiling hott liquid to within a inch of top of jars process 10 minutes in water bath yummy! i got a good one or two for spaghetti sauce to ill bring em to bear wallow! along with a little ole none skunk capp getting shi--er! take care my brother keith
