Sorry for the confusing title. We all have our all time favorites 1068 Wallace, 723 Bobier, 935 Lloyd and so on. But realistically, what is your favorite oldie that could still be available and more importantly viable. For me the short list is 1370 Rose, 904 Stelts and 1420 Larue. I know there are more so lets hear them....any Mombert fans out there?

810 Dill When I first started growing competitively the 810 was producing one of the best looking orange pumpkins out there. I try to grow large most of the time, but a nice orange one will always put a smile on my face.

Not that old, but the 1059 VMG. I'm partial to it since it was the perfect plant in tolerating heat, disease and most importantly producing in my shaded after 2pm patch. The 2 other plants to the left and right both struggled all summer.

1059 VMG should be available in the UMGPG silent auction at the end of December.

I still have two 1161 Rodonis 07 seeds. They were stored in less than ideal conditions, but I may give them a try in 2017. They have thrown nice orange color, but sometimes they don't.

I think I had 5 or 6 1370 Rose seeds at one time. I traded most away(maybe all?...I may have tried one that didn't germ?). I gave a 1385 Jutras away. As an orange grower that only grows a few plants each year, I've passed on some real nice seeds. I know the 1370 produced some big orange beauties, but I think I kept passing on it, because it wasn't consistent enough for me? The 1317 Clementz is like a modern day 1370 to me. I'm tempted to try and obtain a 1317. Speaking of Mombert Andy. I really liked the 940 Mombert 00. Bob Troy produced a couple of awesomely colored pumpkins from it. I had a few seeds of it that I couldn't germinate, and on the one plant I had growing from it, I couldn't get a pumpkin set.

I had the pleasure of growing both the 1059 v/m, and 904 stelts, both were/are my favorite seeds.I crossed them both ways and even got to see my daughter win a HD award with a 1059 x 904 cross.

Found an 805 Pukos when going through my seeds. I wonder what it would do with todays growing techniques. Many in the 1300's 15 years ago
