With nearly a 100% vote return, we have ourselves a name. 48 ot of 50 people voted via email or here on BP and the results are...

IGSGA - 4 Votes
WSO - 15 Votes
and our new club name - The International Giant Squash Growers - 29 Votes

So far so good. Next up, we now have a membership of 50 people. From emails and posts here on BP.com, the majority of the club would be interested in paying a $20 annual club fee.

Sounds good to me, but what do we do with it? Also, lets throw in a potential seed auction as well. Lets discuss some thoughts and ideas on what or what not to do with the dues and potential funds from an auction.

Can I suggest setting up the club directorship, secretary, treasurer etc first.
If your starting to collect dues, who is doing this, where do you send cheques etc etc
Plus accountability is huge.
Do we have Paypal.
Before we go any farther, I think this should be our next step.

I agree with Eddy. With appox 50 potential members at this time, how many directors do we need? From what areas? Who's interested in serving? Term limits?

After more thought, maybe we need to discuss what the "Mission" and goals of the group should be. Once that is determined there may be a bunch of volunteers. At least the potential directors will know where the group wants to go.
