Subject: one leaf wilting

i have a leaf on my plant that just wilted and the next day turning brown from the edges in. only one leaf. any ideas

The vascular diseases like verticillium may do this. Or it's just the oldest leaf, eventually age takes them out.

Could it be squash bugs eating the leaf so it wilts and dies

I would guess it looks like phytophthora, but if it came from an infection of the roots throught the stem, then I would expect that more than just one leaf should show signs of any kind of problems. Therefore, I'm inclined to guess that the leaf has had a tiny injury and got a direct fungal infection. I would cut off the leaf and desinfect the cut with methylated spirits (I usually use a mixture of methylated spirits and sulfur powder).

Anasa wilt i think. it cant be phytophthora because it's been 3 days and no spreading. also i doubt verticillium for the same reason and it looks slightly diffrent

Anasa tristis thé squash bug… anasa wilt is simply the leaf dying from the feeding of squash bugs
