It’s getting cold (3-9 degree nights) and I built a hoop house over the pumpkin. It works fine but should I build one over the entire 40 sqft plant? Is it necessary for keeping gains over the next 18 days? Pumpkin is dap 26

Probably wouldn't hurt. Excessive cold rain or a freeze will basically end your season. But they can endure normal fall weather without a hoop house as long as it gets sunny part of the day. If you have the right materials it can be a quick project... just an hour or two.
