Some of us, from time to time, assign names to our pumpkins as they grow. Do you long gourd growers do the same thing?

I am a first year long gourd grower and have named mine Eva Longourdia....for all you Desperate Housewives fans....lol

I name all LG's "largo" and all AGs I name gourda! Then just add number to them -- easier for me to count then remember names!

What I have seen on finnish garden website they all have named their LG´s as "Jorma" which refers to Long John.

Finland is ski jumping country, maybe thats why its common way here to make slides for mighty "Jorma´s"
