            | HankH | Partlow,Va | I have recently moved my trellis to a new spot. What direction do you think should it face? South, Southeast, Southwest. I am leaning toward sse.
 What do ya'll think?

            | pg3 | Lodi, California | Wouldn't you want it to face the sun, ie south? What's your reasoning for biasing it more toward east or west? | 12/9/2022 6:26:30 PM |

            | cojoe | Colorado | Ive had my longer ones facing east the other faces south. | 12/9/2022 10:02:08 PM |

            | HankH | Partlow,Va | I was thinking about when the sun crosses over and shades the front. Previously I had the trellis facing east and I think shade hit the front(plant) too early during the summer. I moved it and eyeballed where I thought it should face. I just checked it and it is now due south. So Ashton we think alike but my concern is I do want it to shade the front at some point. I was trying to hit the sweet spot If there is one. | 12/16/2022 9:42:57 AM |

            | Little Ketchup | Grittyville, WA | Mine ran east-west and I dont think this was optimal because it maximized heat stress in the hottest part of the day plus I think the north side always got a bit less sun than would be optimal. | 12/16/2022 10:19:05 AM |

            | pg3 | Lodi, California | Hank I don't know what's best, I just assumed it should face south. Regardless my trellis is going to face south this year, because that's how I have my garden set up | 12/16/2022 11:55:19 AM |

            | HankH | Partlow,Va | Final placement is South, slightly 8 degrees towards the East. I got to play with a compass and tractor today! Leveled up I can go 12' way longer than my pb. Thanks for all your input. | 1/3/2023 7:00:39 PM |

            | VTJohn | Jericho Vermont | Mine run east to west as we grow a lot of things in a very small back yard. One trellis the plant runs west and the other the plant runs east. The trellises only see about 6 hours of sun late summer. | 1/3/2023 7:23:05 PM |
