I'm sure most are about done growing lopes so what were your results?

I grew seven plants with lopes ranging from 48 lbs. to 64.14 lbs.
49.4 pro - 71.6 English 5 lobe
55.2 pro - 56.22 pro
55.2 pro - 71.6 English
56.4 pro - 56.22 pro
59.4 pro - 66.9 Bright
64.14 pro - 56.22 pro
All the 4 lobe melons went to chart or went heavy!
the 64.14 was a 5 lobe went light. Was 142 ott for 72 lbs. got me excited for awhile!!

No, they're not a GPC category. Most are growing them for fun and informal bragging rights or possibly a state (or world) record.

I hope they get GPC certification sooner rather than later.
I had a MN record on the vine, but rodents got to me.
Had one off the 71.6 English weighed on a certified scale 24.5 lbs. Had 2 fruit on the 56.2 that were as big or bigger when they got eaten. Loupes are fun to grow, but magnets for vermin.

My 71.6 English weighed in at 17 lbs. Three on that plant. Lost my big one to a mouse.

I;m going to hold back a couple of weeks next season and get some lopes to the old Washington weighoff in Arkansas. I never had any mouse or rat problems but i have cats!

My best this year weighed 66.4 pounds. Next year I hope to follow Tony's schedule and take one to the Washington weigh-off.
