Abbynormal/VTJohn/Agteacher: Was wondering if there would be some seed's for sale this fall. I'm wanting to cross this spring and work on something that's gonna get me orange with a little size. Going to get some help from Dustin in Morgantown and He said you guy's may be able to help me out.
Thanks,Rick

Learn how to use the soil amendment calculator and how to adjust your soil. It will put you ahead of most first-year growers and some experienced growers, as well. Dustin is really helpful in learning about soil modification.

Good luck Rick!

There are lots for sale or for free whichever route you want to go. What has worked best for me is to see the pumpkins in person at the weigh off and choose ones to grow based on that. Photos can be unreliable. In my experience orange x orange will keep going orange but as soon as any other genes besides a pure orange are in there all bets are off. Light orange or white stripes or splotches... probaby has 25% genes for creme/white.

Rick,
Seeds aren’t all harvested but should have good oranges available later. I have good orange color but others have more size than i have been getting.

Check VTJohn and Abbynorms diary and see if they give out their emails. On another note you could join the VT group and get their seeds as part of the groups yearly distribution. The web site is on the links page.
