You got this a long ways to go yet. Back in the early 1980s Dad always said he liked to have a pumpkin about softball size going into August! Times have changed of course over the many years. Good luck Henry.

How do you prep for a blossom end down? I have never had that, but I know it is pretty common.

Thanks so much Howard! That makes me feel good haha. And thanks everyone! Still a lot of growing season left until the fair on October 3rd! In terms of the blossom end, I have never had an issue with them when they go under. In the past I have cut my blossom off about day 10 of the pumpkin since it has gotten soft on me but i am not having an issue this year so even if it goes under I think it should be ok! I may put a fan under there if I can just in case
