Too hot or didn't get pollinated.

Altitude (to)maters (Scott)

Colorado

It was June in 50's and 60's and it was well before they opened. It happened to 3/4 of my early blooms. It's just weird.

Is it possible that the soil was too cold and that caused a phosphorus deficiency ? (blossom drop)

I had a couple fry that resembled this. I had rain torrent after rain torrent, 60-80sF, extreme consistent humidity in 90s,in all that we had one sunny day that went to one hundred degrees. Had a few where humidity wouldn't allow pollination and fried. This weather has been getting worse every year in WV Appalachia. I am already concentrating on a cooling system that's not too expensive and works for this becoming subtropical weather. Any ideas would be appreciated or websites with ideas. I'll kick them around and come up with the best that makes good sense. :)

I just don't know. I'm guessing it was a weather thing because it happened to all the tomato plants in one degree or another. All with different souls, some potted some in ground. It's just a really weird thing, I couldn't find anything that matched it really on the Internet.

I can't help with the heat or humidity. Here it is pretty temperate and dry. We cool things by adding humidity to the air lol. Swamp cooler

The plant is choosing to go veg mode rather than reproductive... its normalish... possibly due to any number of un-ideal conditions. The plant has a sense of its own inner well being? Ha, getting trippy there sorry!
