A big heavy congrats and very good cross. Ideal for the orange growers, one with some great weight potential?

Still has too much of the 2144 Barron in it to be a great, orange cross. Big potential? Absolutely yes. The 2405 Gunstrom was the pollinator to the 2144 Barron, (that grew my 2315), was a VERY aggressive plant, and produces orange pumpkins.
I struggled in the early half of this season being too wet. My plant was light green until early August.I never saw more than 38# a day this year, but it did 30’s for a month straight. Not bad. A soil test said I needed N. I fertilized with about 1.5 cups of ureamate twice a week. I tossed some cal nitrate under the canopy twice, after that test. Also got my boron up to 2ppm, most I ever had. Not sure if that stuff helped get to 17% over chart or not. Prolly mostly the Barron and Gunstrom genetics coming out.

Thanks for the info. I knew it was a wet tough start of the season down your way which amazes me even more! See what 2026 brings and the 2079 potential? Way back in the day, when Dad was growing very nice orange AGs, they were certainly huge at that time, but weighed like balloons unfortunately. He would be so pleased today seeing the incredible HD results thanks to you and so many other growers. Keep it going.
