Put a desiccant pack in there. Still not a guarantee, I never got it to work myself.

Thanks Andy! I was just thinking about that, I think I have some in the drawer.

Cynically, freezing may kill it as may dehydrating it. But if you can get it to work that would be great. Once upon a time Lincoln Mettler used liquid nitrogen, but its unclear if even that worked. The idea there is that it "freezes so fast it doesnt form ice crystals" hence doesnt damage the internal structure of the pollen. I'm unsure if this really is a thing.

Not all pollens are designed the same. Under a microscope there are many sizes and shapes and they vary in strength. What may work for one type of pollen may not work for another. But where there is a will there is almost certainly a way. So don't let me discourage you.

I had some pollen collected from my 2365 and in the freezer for about a month before I used it. It did work, but I wonder if the seeds will be viable?

I'm all in favor of getting frozen pollen to work, but I have yet to see anyone make that claim. If you get it to work then I'll believe you. Just let us know.

Little Ketchup, look back up my diary a few posts at the most recent squash pollination (1109 Jutras). That one is from month old frozen pollen. (Jan. 11th & Jan. 15th Entries)

Welll.. Perhaps I spoke too soon. lol.. It seems after several days my 1109 Pollination is starting to show early signs of abortion.. So, I've been assuming these aborts have been because these are small cutting of plants being kept indoors and they aren't getting everything they need to keep going, but now I'm thinking it could also be the fact that I was trying to use frozen pollen? Hmmm...
