Seems a waste to ever throw them out, eh?
Polite advice, I hope, that when you go to empty the plant out you can place your index and middle fingers on each side of the stem, turn it upside down and push in on it in several places with the other thumb that ridge that goes around the bottom edge, where the roots go viral-spiral, lol. Pushing in on the middle of the bottom of the cup then usually 'pops' the whole thing outta there. I'm sipping a McD's McCoke right now. All is well!

EG, this is from a pumpkin grown from your 142 seed. This particular plant is an experiment to see how long I can keep it alive in the cup. These plants are tough.
