I'm thinking that with all the other seeds available, it'd be better to plant any of those others and have nothing
to wonder or worry about, especially concerning a seed(s) right out of the pumpkin. Just my nickel's worth. eg
PS---
In Googling
cucurbit mosaic virus

'Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) is a plant pathogenic virus
[1] in the family Bromoviridae.
[2] This virus has a worldwide distribution and a very wide host range,
[3] having the reputation of the widest host range of any known plant virus.
[4] It can be transmitted from plant to plant both mechanically by sap and by aphids in a stylet-borne fashion.

It can also be transmitted in seeds and by the parasitic weeds, Cuscuta sp. (dodder).'
