Sometimes they just don't open up. Happened to me last year. The flower after that was fine so don't worry.

Its possible it was messed up a bit by the cup. That it wanted to open but couldn't. It looks like it could be an afternoon opener(this afternoon to be exact)! It looks like it is mature. I would probably help it along by pulling or gently tearing back the petals and doing the deed.

I ended up giving up on this one. When I opened it up the stigma was really deformed bad I'm curious if that had something to do with it. My plants seem less happy overall. I never did a second soil test and I wonder if that is coming to bite me. I applied some diluted compost tea as a foliar spray along with drenching the soil with the tea and also adding some marvel Cal mag fertilizer. Did a lot of node burying today too.
