Considered it but it's almost 3 hours from me. Dont know if i want to make that hike.

I don't think that last bit of vine tissue is even doing anything at this point so I would just cut/scrape away at that brown stem tissue until it turns clean or you get close to the pumpkin. Then I'd wipe the whole area with alcohol and put fans on it and cross my fingers it makes it to Woodstock.
