Just wondered - The only way to TRULY soak a seed or seeds is to place them in the solution of whatever you are using to infiltrate the seed coats in one glass or shot glass 3/4 full and place another of the exact same size into the 1st, EXPECTING some overflow at a 45-degree angle to expel any bubbles and manipulating the 1st to additionally get rid of them over the first few minutes and with H2O2, every hour or so. Tossing the seeds into cups and not snipping, sanding nor doing the above is merely 'floating' the seeds and most-likely the least-effective method and the bare minimum. It's okay if you have all different-sized glasses, though, lol. I don't CARE, of course, but seed 'soaking' is losing its authenticity, like a lot of other things.
PS---using a SHARPIE to mark the seeds is highly advised, as well---eg

Don't overthink it Eric. Just toss them in, and flip them after a while.

Float em is a small glass(shot glass is fine). Put a small piece of paper towel on top of the seed and both sides will soak equally.
