Just letting everyone know cucurbita pepo seeds ( field pumpkins, marrow seeds etc ) are no longer allowed into Australia without been tested. And that's not a viable option. ( they destroy 20 % of the seeds and there must be over 200 tested ) at this stage cucurbita maxima seeds ( atlantic giants ) are still allowed in but for how long ?

Yes, not the best news for our hobby.
That being said, i just received some seeds in the mail yesterday, they had the label on them saying they have been opened by customs, but they let the two package continue on to their destination.
So interesting in what they are letting through and not letting through,
They were even marked as Cucurbita Maxima with no mention of the word seed.

It's only a matter of time before visitors to Australia and New Zealand will be strip searched.

I find it strange they let some in but ban the others with them all being the same genus? We have a blanket ban on anything Curcubita.

It is strange i would agree.
I have had two separate packages arrive a day apart, both were labeled the same, cucurbita maxima, only the first one got opened and inspected by customs and the second one didn't.
Both were let through to their destination.
