Hi everyone..I was wondering...where I want to grow my pumpkin this year is near a security light that goes on at night...will this affect my plants? The plants wont be directly under the light but within about 50 feet. Its a security light on a 20 or so foot pole...can anyone give me some advise.?

I have a security light right at the corner of my patch. I've never had any problems. In fact, I work a lot of swing shifts and sometimes get off work at 2:00am. I have been known to do some patch work (or just go out with a couple beers and stare at the patch) in the middle of the night. The light works great for those activities:>)

Great, just found a new spot for my patch. And the best part..a water source nearby. Thanks everyone. We do have deer here, they walk right thru the garden dont seem to bother anything, until they found the sweet taters...oh well still had a good crop. Now to find the right seed...Croley Bend

This year I will be using a motion sensor but with a buzzer inside rather than a light. If any kids come to mess around, gives you the upper hand, lol.
