With winter so far along and now nearly mid January I never thought it could be possible that......
the grass would still be green.
three feet of snow would come and go away.
I can still work on the patches.
it would be so warm and break so many records.
tornados would be reported all over the States.
so much rain could fall with little flooding.
the great lakes are still 99% unfrozen.
I would spread sulfer today.
I would ever get a 1502 and a 1689.
all the dog crap would be picked up by my wifey.
I would ever get the house painted.
Winter could be so nice.............

Russ currently we are sitting with no snow, our temperatures at night go down to minus 10-15 C day time highs are around freezing, the ground is barely frozen, and we should have about 2 feet of snow and sitting around minus 20 for day time highs, I know now that I've said all this it's going to change ,but absolutely a great winter here. seems like we've been getting a pretty decent January thaw the last few years here, but this is insane.

Welcome to La Nina!
Of course, to the common man, who's vote is sought, this is proof positive that global warming is real and we're all gonna die unless we elect __fill_in_the_blank__ .

In 1976,we were taught that polluting the atmosphere would cause major changes to the weather and land. No one denied this then. Now real scientists have determined that this is indeed true.
It will not matter who you vote for,or who wins. China/India would have to stop polluting, along with USA, to stop the major changes to the weather. Northern USA will just love the fire ants, killer bees, pine beetles, and other major pests, that plague the south USA.
There are millions of changes that are going to happen. It may even get so hot in the summer, that growing giant pumpkins will be only possible in Canada/etc. SVBs may even have 4+ growing cycles. Cold winters are a very good thing.

We have had snow that has melted partialy, then snowed again and melted a little, and so on. Now it is about 25 degrees with 35 mph wind, and it is a big sheet of ice. My patch is just white and it stinks, because I have a big pile of manure I still want to get in it.

Today I drove by one of the local golf courses and the grass was green as can be. The fairways looked like they were in great early spring condition. A little wet out there but amazingly green.........In MID JANUARY.....OMG......There is no frost in the ground at all and daytime temps are going to be above average for at least another week.
All this makes a grower want to get ahead start with the seed lineup. Sadly there however is still plenty of winter left yet.

Seasons progress from winter to Spring and life returns. To a person of faith, it's God's handywork in motion. Jason, I didn't realize Georgia is still in a drought. I'd be happy to bring some of our rain and snow down to Georgia.

Ice fog tonight coming home and sitting at abuot 26*f. Fresh from the Cornerstone Landscaping party the car was on Radar for the last several miles. It is still mild but a cool down is coming late next week just in time for us to head to Florida. My Clubs are packed in the trunk and away we go.
