We proudly present the European Giant Vegetable Grower's Association.
For almost a month a group of enthusiastic pumpkin, squash and giant vegetable growers in Europe have been working semi-secretly on the organisation of an association for European and overseas giant vegetable growers.
Our website is open to public: www.freewebs.com/egvga It is still under construction and growing steadily.
Objectives of the EGVGA:
1. Provide a European website 2. Issue newsletters 3. Coordinate seed distribution/auction/raffles 4. Provide awards and sponsorship 5. Document European pumpkins and squash 6. Provide weigh-offs with a standard set of rules
The main objective of the EGVGA is to promote the hobby of growing giant vegetables in Europe, in particular pumpkins and squash. The EGVGA will do this by supplying information and seeds to growers that become a member of the association. The EGVGA will also promote competition by offering awards and where possible support patch tours, seminars and other activities meant to promote the growing of giant vegetables. The EGVGA will also document giant vegetables grown in Europe.

Wishing the egvga the best of success, from all the growers in Ireland. We will participate as much as possible in making the organisation successful as the U.S. and Canadians have done for their respective organisations, in recent years.
