I'm all in favor of learning new stuff, but the complete takeover of BP by Tad12 and his infomercial about his brand of compost tea is a hijack of this site. IMHO

It's like --- no, I don't grow pumpkins -- but I slept in a Holiday Inn Express Last night.

Not all experts in agriculture grow pumpkins...sounds to me that Tad has alot to offer in a field that he has some training and knowledge in;

Paul, perhaps you should re-read his posting from 1/18/08 at;

Don't be to hasty to chase away someone that we could all learn from....even you.

I have personally talked with and purchased from both Tad and Leon over the past 2 years.
My first interaction was when Leon came to our PNWGPG spring seminar. These guys are very up front to the fact that they DO NOT grow pumpkins, but are willing to help in any way that they can. Not one time on this site have I read where they are pushing their product.
Like NSBz has stated. I would be careful to dismiss their help so quickly.

It does not seem like Tad is trying to sell us his product only. If you want to buy his prdunt the do so, otherwise just use the information he is giving us to try and better what ever you grow.

Seems pretty sad they someone trying to give us some help gets a post lie this one about him.

There are plenty of people that advertise their products and web sites here.Some of them even have links to their sites. I personally like to read the post from Tad12. Don't chase him away. I need all the help I can get.

I've never even read a post by Tad12 until today. When I search Tad12, the only thread the search results show is this one. LOL Great job of advertising for him.

I found a single thread here where tad12 is posting and I'd be more than happy to have him educating people over at my site.

A simple solution to the advertising that is obviously offensive to some, would be to create a forum for it to keep it contained to one area.

Tad12 has started a total of one thread. And it has turned into one of the more informative ones lately.

Sorry if I offended anyone with this thread. I read BP quite a lot and it just seemed like he was showing up all over the place, in many threads and several categories. I agree the information is good, but just seemed too pervasive. I apologize for any upset feelings this thread may have caused. Paul.

Hey, just found this thread today and didn't realize this discussion was even going on.

Paul, hey sorry if I offended you. I'm really not trying to push my products, but rather discuss compost tea in general. I think we're heading in the direction of organics as a society, and I know some of you guys are getting really good results using this technology.

This is our slow time of the year with the busines and I recently had knee surgery so I've had a lot more time on the computer lately.

:-)

Tad --
Just a case of cabin fever I guess, like some of the later posts seem to suggest. Just felt a little frustration. My bad.
Your information is valuable to our community -- please do not let my temporary blowing off steam interfere with your informative contributions to the growers on this site. Thanks. Paul :)

Even though Tad does not grow giant pumpkins(yet), he appears, to me, to be a Heavy Hitter in the compost tea technology. How many times have we asked "where are all the HH and why don't they post here anymore?". I have enjoyed reading the new and exciting material being offered. Just my 2 cents worth.

We need this type of information on BP and in our patch, his intentions are good and his practices IMHO are sound, and he is helping us Grow BIG.
