Does pruning of every other secondary vine is wide practiced?
My english is not so good, so I hope you understood me.
(With other words: I want to know how many (%) of the growers prune every other secondary vine?)
Thanks!

I think it depends on the plant. I never prune every other vine.
By the way, have you seen the European website? www.freewebs.com/egvga
It also has some information.

I prune every second or 3rd secondary depending on how robust the plant is. It really helps when you can get into the patch to weed and spray.

There has been some maintenance on the server today so once in a while it doesn't work. If you refresh the page it usually does work. Sorry about that. Brad

A good question. I'm thinking of trying it on at least one plant next year. I'd like to hear from growers who have had success with this method of pruning.

Many growers prefer smaller leaves to avoid wind damage. Pruning every other secondary will force the leaves on the remaining secondaries to grow bigger. This makes them more prone to wind damage.
