Who is he? He is the best Mykes guy a convention could ever get to speak at and he is appearing at this years convention. Now get off your wallet and call Lisa NOW! Lisa Irwin [lirwin@bmts.com] 1-800-387-3456 www.pumpkinfest.org
In 2006, Ron Wallace was seized by the potential of beneficial fungus. His research in soil chemistry had led him to a scientist at the USDA's Horticultural Crops Research Laboratory in Corvallis, Ore., named Dr. Robert Linderman. Dr. Linderman's specialty was something called mycorrhizal fungi.

Some of his work
Root infections by pathogenic nematodes are generally less severe on mycorrhizal plants than on non mycorrhizal plants, but the responses may vary, and the mechanisms involved are being studied. Linderman, R.G. (1992). Vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizae and soil microbial interactions. In Mycorrhizae and plant health ASA speical publication No. 54 Madison WI. pp 45-70
Research indicates that the mycorrhizal relationship can improve grasses resistance to the negative effects of these organisms (Newsham et al. 1995; Little and Maun 1996; Thompson and Wildermuth 1989, Linderman 1994).
Mycorrhizal fungi improve the plants resistance to soil born diseases in several ways for a wide range of host species (Allen 1991; Linderman 1994).

be sure to ATTEND the Niagara convention.
Dr Linderman is one of the worlds very best authorities on Mycorrhisea and its effects upon plant growth.
