Check on e-bay for seller Kaelyn0203 from Tompkinsville,Ky. When I started raising red compost worms, I got mine from her. She has the best prices I've ever found. I got into raising red composting worms two years ago. I probably have somewhere between 150,00 to 200,000 worms. I started with 8,000. This year I should have around 2,000 pounds of worm castings for the patch.

JoeMan,
I have a worm box for composting my kitchen waste. The castings (poop) are mixed with compost to make compost tea.
A great book is Worms Eat My Garbage. The best worms are reg wigglers, not night crawlers. I have seen ads for composting worms in Mother Earth News, but I found some locally.
Good luck!
Chuck

A bait shop is quick and easy but ordering on line is the better deal.

I got mine from Farmer Chuck a few years ago. They sure reproduce fast if you give them plenty to eat.
