Hi all - we have had a pumpkin carver register for Niagara who has offered to carve a pumpkin or squash for us at the seminar. Does anyone have any suggestions about locating a fair size fruit at this time of year and how we could go about having it arrive in the Falls?

Its not all that hard if you plan ahead! I used to keep one each year for promotion. Had the longest until August. Took one to Michigan Pumpkin School in Ann Arbor about this time of year, I think is was about 1990. If you have no meachainal injury and keep them on the low side of room temperature they can last. Of course some will rot right away! Plan ahead.

It probably isn't big enough for you, but on my front porch I still have a 150 pounder in great shape. I live in California and I have no idea how to get it to you. Maybe I could UPS it.

On a side note, I love the Giant Vegetable Growers Logo. Will you be offering any t-shirts for sale to those who can not attend the convention? I would be interested in buying one.
