Some sure signs that winter is ending and the growing season is almost here... Diaries from the southern states are starting up. Days are getting longer. Mid-winter luncheons are almost here and gone (including Niagara). Nobody is talking about the superbowl anymore (except for New Yorkers). Seeds have been recieved in the mail and sorted out. It's getting close...almost time.

All right, suppose to hit 45 today and sunny. Haven't seen the dirt in the patch for over a month now because of the snow. Today's weather is just a sucker hole though. We are going to get hit by another huge snow storm come Wednesday. Gordon, It won't be much longer that we will be complaining about the windy-100 plus degree days instead of snow.

I hear ya Steve. Wind chills at -40 F. I could barely get my car started this morning. But to look on the bright side, it's only supposed to get down to -15 F tonight...spring must be on the way!

Snowblower broke today when I was half way done with my driveway. I had to use the scoop to finish with that heavy snow. Tired of snow, I wish Paps warm weather would come here!

Power came back on last nite, after 40+ hrs. in the dark. 1/2 inch or more ice still covering everything...winds picking up today, before ice will melt, so maybe back to the kerosene lamps, and candles. Grateful for the fireplace, and plenty of wood. Peace, Wayne
