PatchMaster

During Pete Glasier's presentation at the California growers meeting in Elk Grove he said something that hit home with me. Try something new each year so your growing techniques don't become stagnant.
With that in mind this year I will use only organic ferts. and a new compost tea brewer. New to me, old to others.
What are you doing that's new?

Thanks Patchmaster for you diary pics of your brewer. I can read something 100 times and be confused, but see it just once and I understand and get it. So I guess to everyone, I look at the diaries a lot and those of you that post pictures of what you are doing and what your plants look like, I appreciate it. Thanks again Patch Master. And yes I try new things each year, but I am also new at this thing still.

I am increasing the Sq. Ft. for 2 plants this year, I'm putting up a 1500 Sq. ft green house. Each plant will have 750 Sq. Ft.
I am also starting earlier, because I believe if conditions are right, the fruit will grow for 120 plus days.
Also going to use compost tea once a week from start to finish, but only in minimal amounts.
Also have had major problems with consistent heat, so we're trying pellet stoves this year.

I have a pound of Azomite (crushed rock, filled with minerals, can't harm the plants) I will be putting around the seedlings, also a free sample of sea-90 I will be mixing in.

I got a ripper shank for my tractor so I'm able to rip my patch down to 19". I'm also going to use compost tea for the first time. You are right Patchy, Pete's advice of trying something new each year makes a lot of sense.

I really can't take credit for the compost tea brewer. Most of the ideas came from Thad Starr. Thanks Thad.
If Pete and Cindi would move next door to me than you could expect Big things from Santa Rosa.
